During the design of my interior Troopy fitout, I always been thinking about proper office table or dining table, working with laptop is important for us, getting to some hours design works, searching internet for different scenarios during planning our trips is a must, and we needed something comfortable, store hidden and not ruining the main cabinetry tidy look.
Some people implement a pull out sliding table on their main cabinet, but I didn’t like this idea as I want to have my cabinet totally usable for other equipments, not something such big to hand on it only for casually to be used during the weeks and I wanted my interior cabinet with less as possible moving or rattling parts, having a pull out table from side wall of a cabinet required to have slide space, wasting some flat faces or drawer space and change the current useful tidy drawer arrangement, so above shown option which is a popular removable/rotatable two arm table came out to work perfectly on my setup and its pretty well fitting into the space!
I was not sure how such table could move in the Troopy wagon area, because this design is mainly used on bigger motor homes or campervans and seems a very practical popular choice for bigger setups, but finally after little play with a proper size table this market arm design fitted perfectly on my cabinetry,
Its moving free very well into the seating directions and accessible from any side of the L shape seating locations,
The main board should be mounted off-center, then you will have option to get closer to the board or get far way from it by only changing the orientation of the board towards yourself while you are seating and working, I have longer arms but my wife got shorter arm and smaller body, so we only have to change the direction of the board towards ourselves for placing our laptops.
The main important thing is storage for this setup, as you see in below animated video the entire table setup is storing inside the right hand side cabinet bottom low storage hatch, which is front of the wheel arch, section of the main board seating above the wheel arch on the available dead space which I’m very happy how is storing there on this unusable area! for such important part of our equipment was a big win for us, then its two removable arms seating there front of the wheel arch and still plenty of more space will remain available too.
